Healthy You Starts Now
Thanks to mother nature, the Health & Wellness Expo has been rescheduled.
It will now be held on Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Osage Center.
The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, January 12, but wintery weather prompted The City of Cape Girardeau’s Park and Recreation Department to change the date.
And it’s an event that is truly for the whole family.
Healthy You: details on the Health & Wellness Expo
It’s free to get in and you’ll have a chance to get a free t-shirt and all kinds of prizes just for showing up!
If you’re trying to clean up your cooking, you’ll certainly want to check out one (or all!) of the cooking demonstrations put on by some of the best chefs and dieticians in the area.
There will also be fun group fitness demonstrations for activities like Zumba, yoga, and cardio drumming.
The expo will also be a great opportunity to do some free health screenings for people of all ages. Screenings offered include blood pressure, postural analysis, and vision and hearing tests.
You’re encouraged to bring the little ones in your life with you. They can enjoy the supervised Kid’s Zone while you go through screenings. They’re also invited to take part in Children’s Yoga at 11.
And, for the kids at heart, there will be a whole section just for you! Be sure to check out the Senior Living area on the main floor of the Osage for all kinds of information just for you.
