Say cheers at Cape Girardeau’s 8th Craft Beer Festival


Raise a glass when Cape Girardeau says cheers to all things craft beer.

The Community Counseling Center is hosting the 8th annual Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The fun will take over Arena Park at the First State Community Bank Pavilion from noon to 4 p.m.

With the purchase of a ticket, you get a souvenir pilsner to sample more than 200 varieties of beer from more than 26 microbreweries.

Sip on a cold brew while Tone Def All Starts puts on a live show.

General admission tickets are on sale for $30 in advance or $35 at the gate.

You can also purchase some BBQ. Sugarfire Smokehouse is catering the event.

VIP tickets are $50. They include early entry to the event at 11:30 a.m., a glass souvenir sampling Belgium taster, special craft beer offerings in VIP area, and special VIP food.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Community Counseling Center, which provides programs and services to persons with mental illness and to promote mental wellbeing.

The Community Counseling Center is a not-for-profit provider of mental health care, serving Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Madison, Ste. Genevieve and Perry counties.
