Patti’s 1880’s Settlement has long been a place where southern charm and hospitality came together in Grand Rivers, Kentucky.
And, slowly but surely, it’s being rebuilt after a fire claimed much of the property.
Back in 1977, a family turned an old block building into a restaurant featuring ice cream and hamburger patties.
It has since grown into a beloved destination for food and fun.
But on February 5, 2018, terror struck the area when a fire broke out at the restaurant.
Thankfully, no one was injured. But part of the building had to be demolished.
The good news: they’re rebuilding!

Friends and family turned over the dirt and embarked on a new journey on August 2, 2018.
You can still eat at Patti’s. Outdoor dining is available at Hamburger Patti’s without a reservation.
You can also stop in the Settlement shops, visit the gardens and play mini golf.
The folks at Patti’s hope to reopen the entire restaurant and grounds in May or June, but, of course, the weather this winter will play a big role in whether or not that happens.
