2019 Lenten Season Fish Fry Dinners in the Heartland

It is Lent. That means it’s fish fry season.

The following is an unofficial list of Lenten season fish fry dinners in the Heartland.

  • Apple Creek Fish Fry
    138 St Joseph Ln.,
    The Old Appleton Bushhawks are serving up a Fish Fry on Friday, March 15 and Friday, April 19 at the St. Joseph Chuch Hall in Apple Creek, Missouri. The meal includes all you can eat fried fish, french fries, close slaw or baked beans, and a drink. Adult meals clost $10, for 10 and under $5, and free for kids under three. Carry outs are available.
  • Knights of Columbus #1111 Fish Fry
    318 South Spanish Street, Cape Girardeau
    For $10 (or $5 for kids 5-12) you can fill a plate full of fried catfish, hush puppies, French fries, baked beans, coleslaw, baked beans, bread, onions and dessert. Enjoy a meal each of these Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m.: March 8, March 15, March 22, March 29, April 5, April 12
  • St. Vincent De Paul Fish Fry
    1912 Ritter Drive, Cape Girardeau
    Eat some fried catfish, fries, cole slaw, hush puppies, side dishes and homemade desserts. There will also be cheese pizza for kids. It costs $10 per plate, $5 for kids, and kids 5 and under eat free. Carryouts are available.
  • Cape Girardeau Eagles Fish & Chicken Meal during Lent
    321 North Spring Street, Cape Girardeau
    Come out and enjoy a great fish and chicken meal every Friday during Lent. It starts Friday, March 8 and ends Friday, April 12. $12 for all you can eat or $8 for a 3 piece meal. To go plates will be $8 for 3 pieces and sides.
  • Fish Fry Friday hosted by St. Henry School and the Knights of Columbus
    303 S. 6th Street, Charleston
    Fill your stomach on March 15 and March 29 at the Knights of Columbus Hall from 4-7 p.m.
    Carry Outs will be available. The menu is American Catfish, all the trimmings and dessert.
  • Zion Lutheran Church Fish Fry
    176 County Rd. 226, Gordonville
    March 29 and April 12 from 5-7 p.m.
    Enjoy all you can eat fish, fries, hush puppies, beans, coleslaw, dessert, and a drink. Adults eat for $10, kids 6-10 eat for $5 and children under 5 eat free. Tickets must be purchased in advance, call (573)204-1944 or (573)270-9556 for tickets and information.
  • Knights of Columbus 6405 in Jackson
    3305 N. High St., Jackson
    Every Friday thru April 12 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
    All-you-can-eat menu includes fried fish, fried chicken, hushpuppies, french fries, cole slaw, homemade mac & cheese, baked beans, tea, lemonade, and coffee.
    Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12, 5 and under eat free.
  • Fried Fish and Chicken Strips at Immanuel Lutheran Church
    496 State Hwy. F, Jackson
    The meal includes baked beans, slaw, potato salad, dessert and more! Adults are $10, children ages 6-12 are $5 and children 5 and under are free. Carry out trays are $10. The Memory Matters Program of the Lutheran Family and Children’s Services of Missouri will be given a portion of the proceeds from the supper.
  • Knights of Columbus 5898 in Leopold
    PO Box 32 Highway N, Leopold
    Each Friday from March 1 through April 12, you are invited to enjoy fish, chicken, and shrimp at the K of C Hall in Leopold. The meal will be served from 5-7 p.m. Adults $10, kids 6-12 $6 and kids 5 and under eat free.
  • Oran Jaycees Lenten Fish Fry
    200 N. Haw St., Oran
    March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 & April 5, 12, 19
    Join the Oran Jaycees for a fish dinner that includes fresh American Pond Raised Catfish, fried chicken, hushpuppies, coleslaw, homemade onion rings, french fries, fried biscuits, potato salad, baked beans, and homemade mac-n-cheese. Dinner will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy all the fixins’ for $12 for adults, kids 6 to 12 for $6 and under 6 eat free. Call (573)262-2215 with questions.
  • Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools Fish Fry (Perryville)
    SVHS Cafeteria, 210 South Water Street, Perryville
    Dinner will be served in the high school cafeteria from 4:30-7:30 p.m. March 8, 22, 29 and April 5.
    On the menu: fried fish, fried potato chips, hugh puppies, potato wedges, green beans, cole slaw, water, lemonade, coffee, and desserts. And it’s all you can eat!
    Adults: $9, kids 6-11: $5; 5 and under eat free. Carry out & delivery are available
  • Knights of Columbus in Poplar Bluff
    2280 North Grand, Poplar Bluff
    Fill up a plate every Friday through Lent at the Knights of Columbus in Poplar Bluff. Dinner starts at 4:30 p.m. On the menu you’ll find fish, fries, hush puppies, mac and cheese, baked beans, slaw, and dessert. The cost is $10 for adults and kids under 5 eat free.
  • K of C Fish Fry in Ste. Genevieve
    600 Market St, Ste. Genevieve
    The meal begins at 4:30 p.m. each Friday during Lent. On the menu: fish, french fries, hot buttered noodles and tomatoes, beans, and slaw. A large plate costs $8 and $6 for a small plate. Desserts are also available for purchase.
  • Lenten Fish & Chicken Fries at the Scott City KC Hall
    28745 Hwy 61, Scott City
    It’s all you can eat at the Scott City KC Hall. Fill up a plate full of catfish, fried chicken, hush puppies, tater wedges, baked beans and the famous Kelso slaw. Soda and beer will also be available.
    It costs $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12, and under 6 eat free. Dinner is served from 4-7 p.m. Carryout is also available.

    Every Friday thru March 23 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
    All you can eat fish, shrimp, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese, french fries, baked potato, baked beans, and homemade desserts. $11 adults, $5 kids ages 5-12, bring in a can good for $1 off.
  • Sacred Heart Parish

    Every Friday thru April 12 at Haffner Hall
    The all-you-can-eat fish fry runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The menu includes all you can fish, baked beans, baked potato or fries, slaw, hush puppies, bread, dessert and drink.
    Prices: Adults $10; Children 12 and under $5; kids under 3 eat free (eating in); sandwich and hush puppies are $4; extra dessert $1

  • Marion Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry

    “All You Can Eat” Fish Fry Dinner from 4:30 to 7:00 pm.
  • Knights of Columbus Council #2964

    March 8, 22, 29 & April 5, 12 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
    Dine-In: $11 for adult, $6 for children (11 yrs or younger).
    Carry-out is available! All carry-outs $11.
    You can also purchase cooked fish by the pound, at $11 per pound.
  • Murphysboro Knights of Columbus #988
    606 Plum Street, Murphysboro
    Fill up a plate every Friday through April 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the KC Hall in Murphysboro. It’s all you can eat, $12 for adults, and $6 for kids.
  • Columbia Club Hall (Formerly the KC Hall)
    312 N. Gordon St., Pinckneyville
    All You Can Eat Fish, baked potato or potato salad, baked beans, slaw, and hushpuppies from 3:30-6:30 p.m. every Friday through April 12.
    Carryouts and desserts are available.
  • Alma Masonic Lodge #497 Fish Fry
    302 East Main Street, Steeleville
    Dine-in or carry out every Friday, March 8-April 12 from 4-7 p.m. Dinners are $10 or all-you-can-eat for $13. Fish sandwiches for $4 and chicken strips for $5.
