Devin Kidd is the southern Illinois Bureau Chief for Heartland News. He joined KFVS 12 in April 2024. Devin is originally from Marion, Illinois. He graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Bachelor's Degree in Radio, Television & Digital Media. Devin started his career as a producer at WOFL FOX 35 in Orlando, Fla. before he began working as an assignment manager at WKMG CBS, also in Orlando. Before moving back home to southern Illinois in 2024 to join the team at Heartland News, he spent time as an executive producer and assignment manager at WWSB ABC 7 in Sarasota, Fla. Devin helped lead the team through major national stories including the Gabby Petito case and Hurricane Ian. Devin is so excited to be back home and be able to follow his dream of being a broadcast journalist in his hometown. He moved back to the Heartland to be near his family. His biggest joys in life are his niece and nephew, Kaylee & Daniel. He also has a huge passion for storytelling, films, theme parks and traveling.
