Heart-eye emoji worthy ways to shower your special someone with love

The Little Egypt Barbershop Chorus is at your service

Love may be forever. But we'd argue planning a perfect Valentine's Day is tough.
That's why Heartland Weekend is doing the work for you.
We've put together a guide to ways you can show that special someone all your love.

Valentine's Eagle Cruise Weekend

This Heartland Weekend you can show your special someone you love them more than a bushel and a peck, especially if that someone enjoys nature with a touch of luxury. Treat them to a Valentine’s themed eagle viewing cruise on Kentucky Lake, all aboard a gorgeous yacht. This is a special getaway offered at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park on Thursday, Feb. 14. It includes a lunch on board a gorgeous  96-foot, fully enclosed, heated yacht and two-and-a-half-hour eagle viewing cruise.

Romantic Dinner for Two

Heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and bouquets of flowers are way overdone. This Valentine’s Day treat your boo to a glass of home grown wine, a 3-course meal, and live music around a warm fire. That’s what you’ll find at Apple Creek Vineyard and Winery this Valentines day. There’s something romantic about this rural Cape Girardeau County winery, it’s off the beaten path and overlooks fresh water that runs clear all year long.

Learn to dance

We’ve all seen those couples that get up at concerts and show up everyone with their dance skills, and of course they are totally in sync with each other. We’d say it’s rather romantic. The good news: all you need to know are the steps and you can learn them this Valentines at Cape Ballroom. On Friday nights you can you can actually learn the steps to flow across the dance floor with your partner – like how to tango, cha-cha or do the romantic rumba. It’d be an elegant, graceful and even intimate way to show your Valentine all your love.

A singing Valentine

Shower your significant other in love by sending them a singing Valentine. We’re talking a trained barbershop quartet that will show up at your Valentine’s place of work or home to sing sweet songs. The Little Egypt Barbershop Chorus is at your service. The group is based out of Carbondale and typically serve Jackson, Williamson and Union counties. They’ll send quartets to sing love songs to your Valentine. The cost is $40. All you have to do is book a time for Wednesday or Thursday. Call Ed Mick at 618-841-6350 to reserve your spot.
