CARBONDALE, Ill. (Heartland News) - The Southern Illinois Diabetes Awareness Walk is set for November 14 in Carbondale.
Participants will walk the Virdie 1-Mile Legacy Loop, a walk honoring everyone impacted by diabetes.
March of Faith Community Church is hosting the event.
The walk will begin at the University Mall. Registration opens at 9 a.m., opening remarks are at 10 a.m. and the walk will start at 10:30 a.m.
Organizers are asking participants to bring canned goods to support local families.
