SOUTHERN ILLINOIS. (Heartland News) - Vendors all along Highway 146 in southern Illinois will over hidden treasures for sale this weekend.
The River to River Yard Sales will take place along the entire, roughly 90 miles between Cave-in-Rock and East Cape Girardeau.
The yard sales started October 8 and will remain open until Sunday, October 11.
Thomas Lawler, a vendor in Jonesboro, Illinois, says the sale helps everyone involved, “It helps us get rid of our old stuff that someone else could be able to use it for, you know, make memories with. And for me, that’s awesome. and takes a little bit of work off my hands trying to take it to a thrift store, whatever other option I would have to do, if not this.”
There’s no official map for the yard sale, so many of the people offering deals share their location in the comment section of the yard sale’s Facebook page.
