CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (Heartland News) - Southeast Missouri Pets is throwing a party to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
The party will be on Saturday, September 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the shelter, 180 Weston Street.
“Fifty years is something we are incredibly proud of, but what really makes us proud is all of the people who have helped us get here,” Jenn Farmer, executive director of SEMO Pets, said in a news release. “Our volunteers, donors, fosters, adopters and supporters have made a difference in the lives of so many animals over the years. We want this celebration to be a big thank-you to our community and a chance for everyone to come out and have some fun with us.”
It is free and open to the public. There will be food, live music, a photo booth, a bounce house and more.
Shelter leaders say there will also be adoption specials.
