SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (Heartland News) - Food Works of Southern Illinois and Neighborhood Co-op Grocery are partnering to bring the Farm Crawl back for another year.
On September 12-13, families are invited on a self-guided tour of area farms.
Participants will get a firsthand look at where their food and other goods come from, with opportunities to meet farmers, see demonstrations and sample local products.
Organizers say highlights include highland cows, bison, goats, organic farms and a solar agrivoltaic farm.

Organizers say Saturday’s Sol Farm portion will have specific time slots for activities and a safety briefing at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Car passes are $20 for a single day or $30 for a two-day pass.
Proceeds support Food Works’ mission to support a stronger regional food economy.
Tickets are available online and at the Neighborhood Co-op Grocery Store on W. Main St. in Carbondale.
