Mo.’s National Veterans Memorial to mark Agent Orange Awareness Day

PERRYVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) - Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial will mark Agent Orange Awareness Day on Monday, August 10.

Organizers say the day recognizes the anniversary of the first use of the chemical compound in Vietnam in 1961. They pay tribute to all who where exposed to the deadly substance.

You can join them as the “go orange” to solemnly observe the day.

According to organizers, there will be education displays across the memorial grounds. As the sun sets, lights will shine orange on America’s Wall.

Between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., they say candles will be available under the pavilion for those who wish to light one.
