BENTON, Ill. (KFVS) - The Rend Lake Project Visitor Center will host Moth-a-Palooza and a guided night hike on Saturday, July 25.
Illinois Extension Forest Management and Ecology Specialist Kevin Rohling and Horticulture Educator Kimberly Rohling will teach attendees about native moths during an indoor program. Then, they will guide a night hike to hunt for moths.
The hike will be brief, with several stops at baited trees and moth-viewing locations.
Guests can bring a camera or flashlight.
The event will take place at the visitor center, 11981 Rend City Rd, Benton, IL 62812, from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
