MARION, Ill. (KFVS) - As Americans prepare to celebrate Independence Day, the Marion VA Health Care System is inviting veterans and their families to take a different kind of patriotic step--one focused on health, wellness and the benefits they’ve earned through service.
The Marion VA Freedom 250 Vet Fest will be held on July 2 at 10 a.m. at 2401 W. Main Street in Marion, Illinois.
This veteran health and resource fair will connect veterans with valuable health services, community organizations and support programs ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.
While Independence Day is often marked by parades, cookouts, and fireworks, organizers say the event is also a reminder to recognize the sacrifices made by the men and women who helped protect the nation’s freedoms.
