JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - The City of Jackson and the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new “Welcome to Jackson” sign on July 7.
The new sign is made possible through funding from the Missouri Division of Tourism’s Marketing Platform Development Grant Program. The program is designed to help cities elevate their tourism aspects. The Chamber secured a grant through the Missouri Division of Tourism to fund the fabrication and installation of the $30K welcome sign.
“The new gateway sign is more than just a welcome marker,” said Mayor Dwain Hahs. “It represents the partnership, investment, and vision that continue to move Jackson forward. Whether someone is visiting for the first time, considering opening a business, or returning home, this sign helps showcase the pride we have in our community.”
The ceremony will take place in front of the sign at 2 p.m. at the intersection of East Main Street and Old Orchard Road. Community members are welcome to attend.
Off-street parking is available in the vacant field behind the sign. Guests can access the field via the driveway off East Main Street.
