PERRYVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) - Families are invited to Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial to celebrate Independence Day with a special Kids Event.
It’s all part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
The event will be Saturday, July 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the memorial in Perryville.
Organizers say kids will get an activity card and walk throughout the memorial grounds, visiting each monument and collecting punches along the way. At each stop, there will be stories of service, sacrifice and patriotism.
Once the card is completed, they’ll receive a special surprise in the Welcome Center.
The event is free and open to the public.
