KUTTAWA, Ky. (KFVS) - Officials responded to an incident in Kuttawa, Kentucky, reportedly involving a driver using their phone.
The Kuttawa Fire Department and Stinnett’s Towing responded to KY 810 in the 400 block on Sunday, June 21.
Authorities say a motorist had to take evasive action after someone using their phone entered his lane of travel.
Reports show that the person using their phone did not stop and help. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is asking anybody with information about the incident to contact them.
No injuries were reported, and the roadway is back open.
The sheriff’s office is reminding the public to stay off phones while driving, to stay in your lane and to use tie-downs when hauling cargo or equipment on the road.
