Band-a-Palooza at The Camp to benefit Animal Welfare Alliance of Southeast Missouri

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - An event featuring five live bands in southeast Missouri is raising money for a local organization.

The Animal Welfare Alliance of Southeast Missouri will host Band-a-Palooza on Saturday, June 20 at The Camp near Lake Wappapello.

According to organizers, entry is just $10 at the gate, and kids ages 10 years old or younger get in free.

The concert starts at 6:30 p.m., and proceeds will benefit AWA’s regional no-kill animal shelter.

Guests will get to listen to five bands perform live, including Upland South Trio, Just Us, Freedom & Co., Just Enough, and Rio & The Only Dads.

Organizers say attendees will also have a chance to buy raffle tickets for a day of floating on the Current River and one night’s lodging for two at The Landing in Van Buren, Mo.

A second raffle offers a Patriotic Porch Package containing a red/white/blue rocking chair, a matching garden gnome, a handmade quilt, a large blue cooler filled with soft drinks, citronella candles and more.

Raffle tickets for both prize packages can be bought on site at The Camp, or in advance at the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce, Whitworth’s Gift Chest Jewelers, The Dirt Shack, or at AWA’s shelter.
