MOUNT VERNON, Ill. (KFVS) - The 2026 Mt. Vernon Fall Fest is set for September and the theme is “Stars, Stripes & Autumn Nights.”
According to a news release from festival director Angela Schrum, the festival on September 25-26 will serve as a special tribute to America’s 250th anniversary.
“Fall Fest has always been about bringing people together to celebrate our community, and in 2026 we have an extraordinary opportunity to honor our nation as well,” Jason Hulbert, president of Mt. Vernon Festivals, Inc., said in a news release. “As America marks its 250th birthday, we are proud to recognize the generations of citizens whose dedication and sacrifice helped shape our country. We look forward to celebrating this historic milestone with a festival that showcases patriotism, community spirit, and the traditions that make Mt. Vernon such a special place.”
The annual event will feature live entertainment, food vendors, exhibits, family-friendly activities and more.
