Marion woman arrested after physical fight with husband, found hiding under bed

MARION, Ill. (KFVS) - A woman was arrested after a physical altercation with her husband on May 30, Marion police say.

Around 7:30 p.m., the Marion Police Department responded to a report of domestic battery on Fozzard Street.

A 52-year-old man told officers that he and his wife, 49-year-old Susan L. Kent, got into an argument that turned physical. He said she hit him with a pool cue and threatened to kill him. He told officers she went back in the residence and locked the doors to avoid officers.

The man warned officials that Kent had handguns in her possession.

Officers then set up a perimeter around the house and began negotiations. The negotiations lasted about two hours.
