BENTON, Ill. (KFVS) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Rend Lake is promoting water safety this summer with a “Wear It to Win It” photo contest.
From May 24 to July 4, visitors can submit photos of themselves, friends or family wearing a properly fitted life jacket for the chance to win a prize.
The prizes include:
- Grand prize: Three nights of camping, excluding holiday weekends
- Second place: One-day-use picnic shelter reservation
- Third place: Four day-use passes covering one-time fees at Rend Lake beaches or boat ramps
Submissions should be sent to rendinfo-MVS@usace.army.mil with the subject line “Wear It to Win It!”
Winners will be announced on July 13 on the Rend Lake Project Office/Visitor Center Facebook page.

Winning photos will be shared on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Rend Lake social media pages and may be used in future publications.
