Alabama man arrested following road rage incident in Livingston County

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - An Alabama man was arrested after a road rage incident on I-24 in Livingston County on Friday evening, May 22.

Just after 7 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a call from a motorist traveling westbound on 1-24. They said a passenger in another vehicle traveling in the same direction pointed a firearm at them through the window of the vehicle.

The caller described the vehicle as a dark blue pickup truck with a motorcycle in the bed. They also described the license plate number.

Troopers located the vehicle, a blue 2001 Toyota Tundra, on US-62 in Calvert City. A handgun was located in the truck during a traffic stop. The passenger was identified as 43-year-old Dusty D. Sharp of Boaz, Al.

Sharp admitted to waving the handgun out of the passenger window after getting frustrated at the other motorist.

Sharp was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and Menacing.

This is an ongoing investigation.
