16th annual Big Muddy Brewfest planned for October

MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (KFVS) - The Big Muddy Monster Brewfest will return to Riverside Park for the 16th annual celebration of craft beer, food, and live entertainment.

Organizers said the event will start at noon on Saturday, October 3, and go until 4 p.m. Iperial ticket holders will get early entry at 11 a.m.

Attendees will sample craft beers from regional and Midwest breweries, along with mead, cider, and hard seltzers.

The festival will also include food vendors, games, live music, and a homebrew competition.

“This event is about more than great beer — it’s about bringing people together and supporting our community in a meaningful way,” said Nick Blew, owner of Molly’s Pint.

Rev. Bobby Beerman of the Church of Beer said the brewfest “is a chance to celebrate what makes Southern Illinois special while giving back in a way that has a lasting impact.”

Tickets for the 2026 event go on sale June 1. Participants must be 21 or older.
