Final Carbondale ‘At the Table’ Dinner & Dialogue event set for June 2

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - The City of Carbondale will host the final Carbondale “At the Table” Dinner & Dialogue event on Tuesday, June 2.

This month’s theme is ”America at 250: The Journey to Freedom."

The dinner will honor Juneteenth and reflect on 250 years of U.S. independence.

Event planners said, “participants will have the opportunity to explore the progress made and the unfinished work and the unfinished work of freedom and equality in the United States since Juneteenth.”

Cristaudo’s Café & Bakery will serve a community meal.

The event is free and open to the public.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Carbondale Civic Center.

Registration is required, as seating is limited.
