RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ill. (HEARTLAND WEEKEND) - An annual southern Illinois tradition is happening this June in Randolph County.
The Fort de Chartres Rendezvous will take place June 6-7 at the state historic site near Prairie du Rocher, at 1350 Illinois 155.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The Ill. Department of Natural Resources says there will be a flintlock muzzleloader shooting competition, artisan and craft demonstrations, 18th-century children’s games, militia and military events, as well as period food, drinks and entertainment.
The event is free and open to the public.
