CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - This weekend will mark 17 years since Cape Splash opened. And with every new year comes new additions and features.

One that is sure to excite visitors is the waterpark’s new partnership with Chick-fil-A. It will be available every day except Sundays.
Other new features include a more polished look to the facility, from safer locker room floors to a fresh coat of paint and new doors.
But the most noticeable change may be near the pirate ship and splash pad.
“We added a soft surfacing on our pirate ship for little kids, and then we added a fence around our splash pad,” explained City of Cape Aquatics Facilities Supervisor Robert Shanahan. “It was something that moms had given us some feedback on, something they like at other water parks, so we’re really excited about that safety feature.”

Gates open up this Saturday at 11 a.m. For more information about the water park, click this link here.
