CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (HEARTLAND WEEKEND) - Cape Con returns to the Show Me Center this fall.
Cape Events revealed this year’s comic convention is scheduled for the weekend of November 6-8.
On July 23, organizers announced that two more guests will be attending the show this year: Jeff Brennan and David Eckstein.
Jeff Brennan is a comic artist for DC Comics and a writer, known for his work on animated shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dragon Tales, Beavis and Butt-Head, and more.
David Eckstein is a former MLB player who played for the St. Louis Cardinals and other professional teams. He was a 2006 World Series champion with the Cardinals, and he was named the World Series MVP.

He will be joining his wife, Ashley Eckstein, at Cape Con this fall.
The husband-and-wife duo will be releasing a “his and hers” pair of books on September 8: Ashley’s romance novel, Lucky 22, which is inspired by their real-life romance, and David’s autobiography, Just Enough, about his baseball journey. You can get a signed copy of each at Cape Con.
Ashley Eckstein was previously announced to be a guest at the convention earlier this year, alongside her co-stars and fellow voice actors featured in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels.
This includes: Matt Lanter, James Arnold Taylor, Anna Graves, Nika Futterman, Catherine Taber and Taylor Gray.
Organizers say the cosplay contest, maid cafe, tournament gaming and other popular events will return this year, but specific details will be released at a later date.
