JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - Kobalt Cheer in Jackson is celebrating their senior level 3 team “Revenge” for their third consecutive national championship title.
Revenge finished the season as the highest-scoring level 3 team at the event with a 98.0 score.
Kobalt owner and cheer coach Keona Blissett spoke about the lessons the cheerleaders learn.
“So, they are learning more than just cheerleading, but also how to show up for others and trust in God. And we’ve seen them face every challenge and still rise to the top,” said Blissett. “I love these girls more than anything, more than any title, any trophy, any championship. I love them like my own, and I’m just happy that we get the opportunity to come back here every day and be beside one another.”
Many of the Revenge team members shared what being on the team means to them.

“It’s more than just like cheerleading though, because I feel like I truly have had like got a family here and made so many memories with people that will last a lifetime,” Katlyn Devault said.
“We are all like on the same page about like winning and all like so determined, and it just feels so, like fun and nice to be with these group of people to win,” Kambree Statler said.
“We couldn’t do this without each other, and like the bond that we have, these are like, these are just all my really, really close like family,” Aubree Statler said.
“For us to win, it took a lot of effort, determination, and practice, because we’ve gone a long way since the first season,” said Zoey Sloan.
Blissett also spoke about the lasting impact this win could have moving forward.

“Showing them how to become better people, better athletes, preparing them for high school sports, or even the setting of the classroom, and just being committed and dedicated to something that’s bigger than just one program,” Blissett said. “It’s always a little surreal that they actually secured another title.”
Season six tryouts will be on Friday, May 29.
