CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - One person is in custody after attempting to flee police and crashing into two vehicles, according to police.

Patrolman Bobby Newton with the Cape Girardeau Police Department said officers tried to stop a vehicle near Main and Water Street on Friday night, May 15. The driver tried to flee and hit two other vehicles.

The driver was taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.
