CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - There are some new additions to the 2026 Endangered Buildings List and Watch List from the Historic Preservation Commission in Cape Girardeau.
According to the HPC, the purpose of the list is to raise awareness of the buildings in the hopes of saving them.
The Endangered Buildings List includes:

- 124 South Lorimier Street
- F.W. Woolworth Co. Building - 1 North Main Street
- 328 South Sprigg Street
- 314/316/318 South Sprigg Street
- Surety Savings and Loan Association Building – 318 / 320 Broadway
- 419 North Street
- 121 North West End Boulevard
- 227 South Lorimier Street
- Brandt Hall - 920 Cheney Drive
- 1118 Bloomfield Street
- 531 North Fountain Street
- Meyer Building - 620 Hope Street

The Watch List includes:
