CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - The next stop on the Carbondale Bikes! series takes place during Bike Month and Historic Preservation Month.
The city is offering a group ride along the Carbondale Historic Bike Tour on Thursday, May 28.
The roughly 5-mile ride kicks off downtown from the Town Square Pavilion at 5:30 p.m.
Cyclists will stop and learn from guides about local history and landmarks along bike paths, lanes and routes through town and the SIU campus.
Locations include the original Carbondale train station, iconic spots on the SIU campus, legacy businesses, murals, monuments and more.

According to the city, the event is a fun and engaging way to experience Carbondale.
The ride is expected to take approximately two hours and conclude at the Town Square Pavilion.
All participants are required to sign a waiver and wear a helmet at all times.
