CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The Rotary Club of Cape Girardeau and The Rushing Family Trust are welcoming the community to cheer on racers for their 27th annual All-American Soap Box Derby on May 2.
27 racers (ages 11 through 17) will race down the hill on North Sprigg Street between Blanchard Elementary School and Bertling Street.
Everybody is welcome to attend the event. The race will begin at 7:30 a.m.
16 racers are in the Stock Division, and 11 are in the Super Stock Division.
The winner from each division will compete in the international Soap Box Derby Race in July in Akron, Ohio.
