American Idol contestant announced as Women Aware Conference keynote speaker

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - An American Idol contestant will be coming to a women’s event in Poplar Bluff this fall.

On Monday, April 20, organizers announced Hannah Harper will be this year’s Women Aware Conference keynote speaker.

Harper, a southeast Missouri native, is one of the Top 7 contestants on the current season of American Idol.

According to her website, she traveled with her family band, The Harper Family, and is now stepping out as a solo singer and songwriter. Harper is known for her song “String Cheese,” which is a tribute to motherhood.

This year’s Women Aware Conference will take place on Tuesday, September 15, at the Black River Coliseum.

The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
