CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - VisitCape hosted its 5th annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20.
The city-wide celebration ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with activities at Ivers Square and Lorimier Street between Broadway and Themis.
Vendors were featured from around the region, including artists, crafters, food and more. There were kids’ activities and games along with live music. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the history of the holiday.
One attendee shared her favorite part of the event.
“It’s exciting, and the best part is just the community, being able to see so many different people interact,” she said.
