LYON COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating several road signs that were reportedly stolen over the last few weeks.

“Not only do these thefts risk lives, they also rob funds from other line items in the county budget that could be better spent,” said Sheriff Brent White. “This may be someone outside of our county, as we have heard of similar incidents in at least one adjacent county.”

According to the sheriff’s office, the following signs have been reported stolen:

  • One sign on Bent Tree Lane
  • Two signs on Birdie Bannister
  • One sign on Confederate Road
  • Two signs on Cummins Lane
  • Two signs on Horseshoe Bend
  • One sign on Indian Hills Trail
  • Two signs on Lazy K Lane
  • Two signs on Poplar Creek Road
  • One sign on Travis Road
  • One sign on Winchester Court and a stop sign
