Paducah man arrested, facing multiple drug-related charges

PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - A weeks-long drug investigation led to the arrest of a Paducah man who is now facing multiple drug-related charges.

Approximately two weeks before the arrest, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s office received information that somebody was allegedly distributing crystal methamphetamine.

The suspect was identified as 64-year-old Larry L. Hughes.

Detectives conducted multiple controlled purchases from Hughes during the investigation.

On March 25, detectives arrested Hughes at his residence on North 22nd Street.

After the arrest, a search warrant was executed at the residence. Investigators found evidence consistent with drug trafficking.

Hughes was charged with the following:

  • Trafficking in Methamphetamine (2nd or Subsequent Offense) – Three Counts
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Officials say Hughes has a criminal history, including multiple prior convictions for drug trafficking. He was out on bond for drug-related offenses at the time of this arrest.
