CARTERVILLE, Ill. (KFVS) - The FDC Foundation gifted $300K to John A. Logan College to establish the Frank and Dorothy Cluck Endowed Scholarship.
The purpose of the scholarship is to provide ongoing financial support and emergency assistance to students.
The scholarship will support multiple initiatives:
- Mama & Papa C. Scholarships, assisting two incoming freshmen from Carterville High School and two returning sophomores
- Frank D. Cluck Senior Technology Scholarships, supporting students pursuing careers in technology or trade programs
- John A. Logan Emergency Fund, helping students facing unexpected financial burdens
“This endowment will create lasting opportunities and provide meaningful support for students for generations to come,” said Dr. Kirk Overstreet, JALC President.
Representatives from the Foundation visited the college on March 25 to present a check and celebrate their partnership.

“This gift represents more than financial support; it represents opportunity, stability, and hope for our students,” said Staci Shafer, Assistant Vice President of Advancement and Executive Director of the JALC Foundation.
Frank Cluck said he hopes the endowment will benefit generations of JALC students.
The FDC Foundation is a nonprofit established in 2008, created by the Cluck family. They provide scholarships, educational opportunities and funding initiatives.
