Registration open for Old King Coal 5K

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (KFVS) - Registration is open for the Old King Coal 5K on Saturday, May 9.

According to organizers, early bird registration is until April 15. It’s $25 per runner, includes a t-shirt and no refunds are available.

After that, t-shirts are not guaranteed, and not guaranteed in requested shirt size.

The race starts and ends at Frankfort Community Park, 1100 E. Cleveland.

Packet pick-up and late registration is at the shelter south of the Aquatic Center in the park on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.

Organizers say all proceeds will benefit the Coal Miners Room (Mines and Minerals) at the Frankfort Area Historical Museum.
