SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - Deputies with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in Sikeston, Missouri, in connection with a shooting investigation.
According to the sheriff’s office, the arrest stemmed from a shooting investigation that occurred on Thursday, March 19, in Scott County.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Deputies arrested 23-year-old Austin James Nance on Dolly Drive in Sikeston on Friday, March 20, around 7 p.m.
Nance was charged with Murder in the 1st Degree (Class A Felony) and Armed Criminal Action.

Nance is currently being held on a no bond warrant.
