GLEN ALLEN, Mo. (KFVS) - The Ozark Highland Sheep, Craft, and Fiber Festival is Friday and Saturday, March 20-21 at Mesta Meadows.

The working sheep ranch is located at 12005 State Hwy 34, about a mile west of Glen Allen, Missouri.

The event ran from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, and will go from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The festival is free to attend and open to the public.

Ed Crowley, owner of Mesta Meadows, said more than 1100 people from more than a dozen states attended in 2025, including California and Colorado.

“Just being able to walk around, interact with the animals, have some great food, we’ve got some great vendors there, listen to some great music, it’s a ball.”

Crowley said it’s a working ranch, where they raise sheep, goats, donkeys and Scottish highland cattle. They also now sell sheep ice cream.

“One of the things we really try to do at Mesta Meadows is engage the community and expose them to the ranch. A lot of people have never actually been on a working ranch. They haven’t had a chance to see the animals, to see how things are done, and so it’s really neat.”

Crowley said this will be the fourth year for the event, which continues to grow in size and attendance.
