Autism Awareness of Southeast Missouri hosts ‘Color Walk & Roll’ on April 26

JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - Autism Awareness of Southeast Missouri will host their AASM Color Walk & Roll on Sunday, April 26.

The 1-mile color walk will take place at Jackson City Park, 542 W. Independence St.

“Walk, roll, jog, or stroll—this event is all about inclusion, community, and celebrating autism awareness,“ AASM said. ”Participants are encouraged to wear white and enjoy bursts of color along the route."

Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the walk and roll will start at 1 p.m.

Registration prices:

  • Ages 16 and up: $30 (shirt included)
  • Ages 10–15: $20 (shirt included)
  • Ages 0–9: FREE (no shirt)

After April 10, registrations will no longer include a shirt. Registration is required to access the course.

Strollers and mobility devices are welcome.

The course is not pet-friendly due to the colored powder. Service animals are allowed.

You can create or join a team to raise funds for local autism awareness programs. Awards will be given for the largest team, top fundraising team and top individual fundraiser. Click here for more fundraising information.

Local businesses and organizations are invited to host a booth without a fee. Booth set up will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and booth hours will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Click here for more information on hosting a booth.
