Carbondale organizations host ‘meet and greet’ with candidates on March 8

Political candidates will have a "meet and greet" at Pagliai's Pizza in Carbondale The "meet and greet" will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 8 (kfvs12)

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - Carbondale community organizations will host a “meet and greet” event with local candidates at Pagliai’s Pizza on Sunday, March 8.

Residents will have the opportunity to connect with community leaders and candidates. The event is free and open to the public.

The meet and greet will highlight three candidates:

  • Chip Markel
  • Tamiko Mueller
  • Kevin Ryan

According to organizations hosting the event, all three candidates are veterans who are “dedicated to local advocacy and public service.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring questions, concerns and discussion about the future of the region.

The event will take place at:

Pagliai’s Pizza, 509 S. Illinois Ave, Carbondale, IL

The meet and greet will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Working Families Party, Indivisible Marion and Political Action Committee of Carbondale will sponsor the event.
