SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A man was arrested after an investigation found he failed to register his social media accounts as required under Missouri’s sex offender laws.
On March 4, a deputy with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office conducted a compliance check at 27-year-old Antonio Keith Scaife’s residence, which was listed on the Missouri Sex Offender Registry.
After the compliance check, an investigation revealed that Scaife had active social media accounts that had not been reported, as required by law.
The investigation showed that Scaife had recent activity on Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram.
During a post-arrest interview, Scaife admitted he had the accounts and that he had previously told registry personnel he did not have social media accounts.
