HARRISBURG, Ill. (KFVS) - The 2026 Concert for a Cause: Howl at the Moon Dueling Pianos event raised over $24k for SIC scholarships and MRI access at Ferrell Hospital.
The event took place at Southeastern Illinois College and was co-hosted with Ferrell Hospital.
Financial support for the event came from:

- Ticket sales
- Donations
- Silent auction
- Balloon pop game
- Heads-or-Tails game
- Specialty drink contributions
All in One Real Estate, Align Wealth Management and J&M Realty, among others, were sponsors for the night.
“Because of the generosity of our sponsors and guests, more students will have access to scholarships at SIC while Ferrell Hospital continues expanding important health services for our region," said Dr. Karen Weiss, SIC President.

Howl at the Moon musicians entertained the 316 attendees.

SIC Falcon Bistro Chef Michael Intravaia prepared dinner, and cheesecakes were donated by Maple Street Café at Ferrell Hospital.
Various local businesses and individuals donated items for the silent auction.
Proceeds from the event will benefit SIC and Ferrell Hospital. SIC will strengthen the endowment for student scholarships, and Ferrell Hospital will support expanded access to MRIs.
“Partnering with Southeastern Illinois College made this event even more special, and we’re grateful for the continued support and enthusiasm from everyone who attended,” said Ferrell Hospital CEO Rachael Prather.
