2 people arrested after meth found in stolen vehicle

PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - A man and woman from Metropolis, Illinois, were arrested after methamphetamine was found in a stolen ATV and trailer.

On Tuesday, February 24, officers with the Paducah Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Kentucky Avenue after receiving a report of a stolen ATV and trailer.

An officer used a camera from a nearby business to identify the suspected vehicle as a green Ford truck.

The vehicle was located the next day in the 1200 block of North 8th Street.

Methamphetamine was found in the stolen vehicle.

After checking the property, they located the stolen ATV and trailer at the residence of 43-year old William C. Starks and 41-year old Jennifer M. Bagby.

Starks admitted to stealing the ATV and trailer.

The property was returned to the owners.

Starks was arrested and charged with First Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and TBUT (Theft By Unlawful Taking) All Others Over $1,000.

Starks and Bagby were taken to the McCracken County Jail.
