SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - The Scott County Sheriff’s Office announced that evidence has not been found yet at the possible burial site in connection with the Cheryl Anne Scherer disappearance investigation.
According to the sheriff’s office, eight cadaver dogs alerted to specific locations at the site.
“Our team examined those areas in great detail,” said Sheriff Derick Wheetley. “Throughout this operation, we faced difficult weather conditions, including frozen and extremely wet ground, which made the work even more challenging.”
Despite the efforts, evidence was not found at the site.
The sheriff’s office continues to urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to contact investigators at 573-545-3525 or submit a tip through their website.
