SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - The rainy weather on February 14 delayed excavation efforts in the cold-case investigation into Cheryl Anne Scherer’s disappearance.
According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, crews spent the day at the site continuing operations. They say another group of cadaver dogs assisted with the searching.
They say investigators have not located any evidence related to Cheryl Anne Scherer, but crews will continue to search additional areas.
Due to rainy conditions, the investigation was slowed down on Feb. 14. The Sheriff’s Office says that if weather conditions are favorable next week, they anticipate wrapping up operations at the site.
