CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - The Carbondale Police Department said officers arrested a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash on Thursday, February 12.

At approximately 7 p.m., Carbondale police officers located the victim of a hit-and-run crash in the 600 block of E. Campus Drive.

This is on the southeast side of Carbondale, near several apartments close to the Southern Illinois University campus.

The victim was taken to a Carbondale hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers said they located the suspect vehicle abandoned near the scene of the crash.

According to the Carbondale Police Department, they arrested the driver, 37-year-old Alexis L. Locke.

This is an ongoing investigation.
