Friday the 13th has long been a tradition in tattoo culture, bringing in customers for flash tattoos, piercings and limited-time deals.

Lucas Young from Golden Eagle Tattoo says, “Friday the 13th has a history throughout the tattoo culture, throughout history, it’s timeless. It started out with sailors. 13 is to ward off bad spirits. So, it’s kind of like using that day as a misfortune day but turning it into art and love.”
