JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - An event aimed at raising money for children’s mental health services in southeast Missouri is set for February 19.

The Superheroes Have a Heart for Kids Luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Jackson Civic Center.

The event is hosted by the Community Counseling Center Foundation.

Individual luncheon tickets are $35.

Money raised will go to support children’s services programs at Community Counseling Center (CCC).

Programs include crisis and emergency response, outpatient therapy and counseling, school-based therapy and many others.

According to the foundation, the services benefit children ages five to 18, sometimes all the way up to age 21.

More than 1,600 children were enrolled in CCC programs between July 2024 and June 2025. The most common diagnoses were ADHD disorder, anxiety disorders and depression.

Community Counseling Center is located at 402 S. Silver Springs Road in Cape Girardeau.
