Black Business Expo returns to Carbondale for a fifth year

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - The Black Chamber of Commerce of Southern Illinois will host the fifth annual Black Business Expo.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 14 at the Carbondale Civic Center.

According to organizers, the expo will be an opportunity to shop local businesses and network.

There will also be resources and social service organization information available at the event.

Ahead of that, there will be a Black Expo Business Seminar on Friday, Feb. 13 at the Illinois Small Business Development Center on Innovation Drive.

The event is from 9 a.m. to noon. Check-in and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m.

Speakers include Imani McHenry with Infinite Cyber Tech Solutions, Tom Harness with the Illinois Economic Empowerment Center at SIU and Yemisi Anderson, founder of The Jay Effect.
